10th Annual Association Challenge - October 25, 2014
Winnipeg Does it Again!!
Yahoo!! Winnipeg did it again! Wanda drives fast.
This year Dauphin hosted the tenth Annual Association challenge. This event has the three Manitoba Local Bowling Associations (Winnipeg, Brandon, Dauphin) bowl against each other for the coveted championship plaque.
A big "Thank You" to the Dauphin Bowling Association who hosted it this year. The hospitality was awesome. Everyone that was in attendance received a pair of mitts that were embroidered with “10th Anniversary Association Challenge”. Great job and thank you Dauphin!
Did I mention yet that Wanda drives fast. The Winnipeg group made it on time this year as Ron Molinski did not drive the scenic route like he did the last time it was held in Dauphin.
There were five people that were given
certificates for being at the Challenge every year.
They were Len Howell, Wanda Howard, Ron Molinski, Geri
Molinski and Jody Scott.
The teams were:
Winnipeg 1 - Ron Molinski, Geri Molinski, Helen Fenk and Rick Aldous
Winnipeg 2 - Lynda Seewald, Pat Wight, Jay Doe, Catlin Crandall and Wanda Howard
Brandon 1 - Bob Freeman, Kim Karlicki, Jean Robson and Rudy Von Hertzberg
Brandon 2 - Rosa VandeMosseloer, Len Howell, Murray Karlicki and Kevin Hingey
Dauphin 1 - Jack Kukurudz, Carolyn Heschuk, Ralph Piasta and Del Anderson
Dauphin 2 - Jody Scott, Ray Lebel, Kim Gudmundson and Doug White
The matches were very close with Winnipeg winning by a slight margin of 19 pins.
This is the fifth time that Winnipeg has won out of the ten years.
