The Marinellis - True Supporters!
The WTBA received some wonderful news this week. As you probably know, the Marinelli family has been sponsoring the Marinelli City Singles Championship tournament for many years (since 1960), in honour of Dick Marinelli Senior, who was a talented bowler (he won the City Singles in 1955), as well as a staunch supporter and builder of tenpin bowling in Winnipeg, holding many different volunteer positions on many bowling boards and organizations.
The Marinelli family has decided to TRIPLE (yes, you read that right) their contribution to the Marinelli City Singles tournament, starting with the 2013 edition of this prestigious event. Dick Marinelli Jr, Denis Marinelli, and Chris Marinelli Painting are each giving $200 towards the Marinelli tournament!
The WTBA, on behalf of our local tenpin bowling community, sincerely thanks the Marinelli family for their generous offer.
It is people like them who are a shining example of going above and beyond in order to support tenpin bowling in our city.
Let's reciprocate, and show them the same kind of support.
